CHI KUNG
He was an extremely popular Buddhist deity worshipped all across China for his preachings of behalf of the weak. He was
usually depicted barefoot, with patched and tattered robes like a beggar. He is always seen carrying a bottle of wine
and a fan that he can perform magic with.
DOU MU
Dou Mu is also known as the Star Mother and mother of the seven stars of the Big Dipper (Plough). She is said to have the
ability to save people from many types of evil and trouble. She is depicted with three eyes in each of her four faces; with
four arms on each side of her body. Two of her hands are held together, and the other six hold a sun, moon, bell, golden seal,
bow, and halberd. She is celebrated on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month.
