He guided the souls of the dead from the world of the living to the
world of the dead. Anubis ws also responsible for weighing the actions of the deceased in
terms of good or evil. He is also considered the inventor of embalming and mummification, who had embalmed
and mummified the dead god Osiris.

Depicted: Anubis is usually depicted as having the head of a jackal.
