Goddess that taught the Egyptians marriage, household management,
medicine, weaving, motherhood, and the working of magical spells and charms. She was perhaps best known as the goddess
of fertility and life. She represented the great parts of women: love, loyalty, protection, motherhood, and
sexuality.Upon hearing of Osiris's death, she
instantly went into mourning and frantic searching to find him. She found and lost him again, but in the end was successful in
restoring all of his body but one part.
