Jason was another famous hero of Greek and Roman Mythology. He is best known for his role in retrieving
The Golden Fleece. Shortly after Jason's birth, his Uncle Pelias overthrew his father and claimed the throne. It was said that
he threatened to kill any who stood in his way of this claim. In order to keep Jason safe he was smuggled away. Many years later
Jason decided to return to regain his kingdom. Upon the way he lost a single sandal upon helping the goddess Hera
in disguise.
Aeson was worried because an oracle once told him to beware of anyone wearing one sandle. When Jason entered the room wearing
only one sandal, his Uncle sent him on the quest for the Golden Fleece. Aside from bringing the fleece back, he also returned
with a bride named Medea. Jason and Medea led an uphappy life in Greece. After a few years he left her for another woman. In
revenge Media killed this woman and her own children by Jason. Jason died in Corinth when a rotten piece of the Argo fell on his
head. The ship was then raised to the heavens.
